Boarding pass Zone #1: Ron Redwell Maui, Hawaii (USA)

.....I had to catch the bus.....A lot of times the (native) Hawaiian bus driver would just wave me on.....
— Ron Redwell

Often times as a traveler of color, you will notice being treated differently by 'locals' to wherever you are traveling based on the color of your skin.  Often times this can translate into 'special treatment' as in Ron Redwell's case where the Native Hawaiian bus driver would often not allow him to pay the (bus) fare.  Other times, it may be in different forms, as in some 'locals' feeling a sense of closeness in a way to engage in dialog more in depth than they may otherwise with a 'non brown' traveler.  In "Window Seat" we will share countless examples of this through their travel stories.
